Skaket Beach 12/31/2023
Shrouded in a blanket of gray the stillness of the beach pulled my attention into the moment. A chill in the breeze grazed my face, as the hypnotic sound of gentle waves spilled onto the shore. In the distance a line of light defined the horizon illuminating a calm shade of blue.
Two empty chairs waiting to be filled sat on the quiet beach under clouds of gray looking towards a seemingly endless skyline. It was a perfect metaphor as the light dims down on a year done and illuminates the way to another, signaling a time once again to move forward. A reminder to follow your horizons, cease the day and take time to fill your chairs.
